- Sarasoh, Kasriel Hersch
- (1835-1905)American newspaper proprietor. He was born in Russia, and was active as a rabbi and merchant before settling in the US in 1871. He founded the weekly Die New Yorker yiddishe zeitung and Die yiddishe gazetten, which paved the way for the first Yiddish daily paper in the US, the Yiddishes tageblatt. He also published a Hebrew weekly (Ha-lvri), and was a founder of HIAS.
